The founder and managing director, Mr. Wirkes, had been seeking a long-term succession solution for his company. He will continue to support the business as managing director during a two-year transition phase to ensure a smooth handover and facilitate the efficient onboarding of a suitable successor. The search for a suitable candidate is being conducted jointly, and advanced discussions with a potential successor had already begun together with Mr. Wirkes prior to the transaction.
In parallel to the succession process, the continuous expansion of MOSER Trachten locations remains a key focus. The goal is to grow the store network both organically and through targeted acquisitions as part of a potential market consolidation — particularly with a view to expanding the ‘MOSER Trachtenwelten’ concept. Additionally, the development of own brands will be further intensified. Plans include strengthening the design and product management teams as well as establishing dedicated showrooms for optimal brand presentation. At the same time, the strategic use of social media offers a significant opportunity to bring the world of traditional costumes closer to existing and new customers. Authentic insights into the brand, its collections, craftsmanship, and the people behind MOSER Trachten aim to create an emotional connection. Social media serves as a ‘digital shop window’, not only offering inspiration but also communicating the values, quality, and diversity of the MOSER Trachten brand in a modern and engaging way.
